Hello busnuts!

This is being cross posted to both BNO and BCM.

Jack will be scheduling me in for a brake seminar at Bussin 2011.

As for what to present in a seminar slot, I'd like to poll the audience for some specifics...

What would you like to see covered?

happy coaching!

BW,I won't be there, but wish I could to brush up on air brakes.
In my opinion, since I've done a lot of maintenance on buses in the last few years......
I keep running into guys with buses who think that the auto slack adjusters are the "Be All" and "End All" of brake maintenance. In my opinion, it could very well be the end all.
Adjusting brakes... how often? how much is enough? how much is too much?
Changing brake shoes/drums/hardware/slack adjusters.... why? (Not my question, just got it from a few that think since new shoes will work for awhile, why should they change worn out drums?).
Sorry, I don't mean to get on a soap box, but there are too many reformed stick and staple owners in this hobby that have never done any of their own maintenance.
I had one fella tell me that he didn't need to know how to change fuel filters, he would just call road side assistance.
Money will fix anything....
Yeah, Shure, You betcha, eh?
