Hi all and Happy Holidays! Has anyone sucessfully mounted Ramco mirror arms (specifically 1300 series) onto existing MCI mirror mounting brackets? Mine is an '81 MC9. The mirrors I'm looking at from Ramco have flat-faced mounting brackets, and I'd like to use my existing curved-face brackets if possible. If not, I can probably get the curved brackets from Ramco, just trying to save myself a little trouble and expense. Thanks. |

Debo I just changed my mirrors on my Prevost with mirrors from a motor home. The mirror heads came from a Spartan, the arms I have no clue what they came off of and I ordered the curved mounts from Prevost! They all are made by Ramco from what I am told and they all interchanged! |

Thanks Ace. I'm going to do a little more head-scratching. I found some nice, reasonably inexpensive Velvac mirror heads at Ryder Fleet Products online. I may try to adapt my existing MCI mirror arms to accept the 1" shaft on those guys. My be as simple as boring out the end of the arm to 1" and drilling and tapping a couple of set-screw holes. Still investigating. I'll keep everybody posted. |
