Ok, i went to work this morning and left a oil filled electric heater plugged into the bus so maybe i would feel like working if the interior was above 20 degrees. When i got home seems my son and his buddies were "working" on his mud truck and dissconnected the coach power cord. I just plugged it in and cooking supper now but my question is Did it run the batteries down to a certain point or all the way down? I think the former but its cold dark and i now have to run back out and just want to warm her up and get the batteries charged. Thanks (Heart Freedom unit) |

Dave, I think what you are saying is that you plugged a 120 Volt heater into your bus which was plugged into shore power. Your bus is equipped with an automatic transfer inverter which will transfer to battery power when the shore fails? If so, your inverter should have low battery protection, and stop for low voltage. I would also assume it will pick up where it left off, and recharge your batts. Wouldn't hurt to go out and look though. G |

Thanks George, i am pretty sure thats what happened. I had to head right back out and dident have time to throw a volt meter on the batteries. My first thought was that the inverter would just feed down till they were totally run down, but then i remembered about the low voltage protection. The bummer is nothing has been done to get ready for fla trip next week. Coach is warm now but owner is beat! |
