on a 1983 Mci-9 CrusaderII Bus this one has the double door .How much trouble would it take to change it to the single door?Whats does it take besides just the door?Is that single hard to find aswell along with everthing need to change it?What kind of cost would it take for some thing that (not labor parts only)? And a 6v92 how good of a motor is this one (non tubro)? Most of the one i ben looking at ben the 8v71 and 8v92. As far as power and pulling hills

6V92 non-turbo? You better look again. 6V92TA's are good engines, but the NJ transit version probably has the power cut back to meet EPA standards.

Got a one piece door from Nimco in NJ for $300 when we bought our NJT bus. Came with the J hinge on top and the door side of the bottom hinge. Needed hinge bolt (MCI +/- $50) and lower hinge for bus side (local bus co +/- $80).

Bigger problem is whether your door frame is straight. Most have been bent in wrecks and require some straightening to fit since tolerances are close. Our door was aluminum covered and the aluminum is wrapped around the leading and trailing edges. This extra width is a problem but replacing it with stainless should correct it.

Engine goes good on flats, great downhill, kinda slow up hills.

Look around learn lots before you buy.
