Looking for a good to high quality drop-in, LPG stove top.

Atwood or Wedgewood types are unacceptable.

Please respond and help me placate my better half-before she refuses to cook anymore!

Larry,
I also have been looking for same. not too much out there.
Yesterday we saw a Gaggenau unit, looks better, but have not checked it out yet. Made in Germany. They have a page at:
www.gaggenau.com/en/dialog/index_pusa.htm
They seem to be orginized in a modular system with various options. Havn't talked to dealer or checked $$$ yet.

Check out Seaward Products. They have upscale 2 & 3 burner gas and electric cooktops. Retail about $300-$500 range. www.seawardproducts.com

Just how Large of a unit can you build around?
Was up by American (a home product outfit) and they have a nick and bump area where there were some great Heavy duty stove tops there for about 50% off. This one is North of the Illinois/Wisconson boarder just off of highway 94 at 100, you see the store from 94. I used a dropin gas cooktop from camping world. They were going through a model change and picked it up brand new for about $75 bucks. Seem to be a good firm unit. - cd

About two years ago we bought a two burner gaggenau for $200.00. This was a new take out from Safari outlet if I remember correctly. A quality unit.

Hey Larry, why don't you like the Atwood or Wedgewood types? I am looking for a stovetop as well. MR
