Hi List I just brought my MC9 home from the shop and want to finish up a few mech. details before I start the converson...Is there a cruise control system for a MC9 with 8V71 and a Allison transmission...Just don't want to to pay any more school taxes... Mark Wisc. |

There are several systems out there that will work with mechanical-injector diesels and non-electronic transmissions. Your Kenworth or Peterbilt or other truck dealers should have one or more varieties. The Detroit Series 50 or 60 requires only three switches and an indicator lamp plus a pressure switch on the air brakes that opens when air is applied to the brakes (if you have a clutch, a second switch is required for the clutch). The computer does the rest. |

I've been using an 8 inch (two hole) concrete block with a good deal of satisfacton. I didn't like the lighter three hole types, since they tend to slide down off the pedal due to vibration. Works for me!!! Cheers...JJ |
