For those of you who would have rather read a shorter version, here it is: We went to Tennessee to get this old bus, you see.... ...and when we got there it was so ugly it scared us really, really bad... ...and it had two flat tires and stuff, so we got one tire fixed... ...and anyway the transmission wasn't all that good... ...but it didn't matter much cuz it was pert near all downhill... ...so we parked it in this here empty lot... ...and then we went home, cuz it was what we had to do next, you know... ...but don't go gettin' no ideas about the bus... ...cuz it's guarded by terrible dogs and men with machine guns... ...and besides, if you want it that bad, you're crazier than I am. THE END Cousin R TERRY |

I missed something, R Terry. So what ever happened to your bus that went missing? I may have missed the end of the saga, but I'm just curious! Did you ever get help from the cops or anything? Mark |

Mark, I sent a letter to the Phoenix Chief of Police asking for his help motivating the police department to act on the information I had about the stolen bus. That letter was posted here on the BNO. It was answered by an administrative assistant who said I would be contacted by the detective currently assigned my case. I have never been contacted by the Phoenix Police about anything subsequent to the initial report despite my personal appearances at the main police station, the phone calls and voice messages left, or the letter I wrote to the police chief. That must mean... Why buy a bus when you can just grab one off the street and take it home with you? Who's going to do anything about it? The Police? Not at all! Save yourself some money; help yourself to a bus. If a preponderance of evidence pointing to a particular suspect does nothing to motivate the police to solve a crime and help recover a stolen vehicle as big as a bus, I'd say you have an open ticket. Hey, crime pays. I am not giving up, though; Next week I will continue the hunt and keep everyone posted as anything new materializes. It's going to be like when you take a stick and stir up the ant hill: it drive the ants crazy. I'm going to do that. Should be fun! R TERRY |
