Alright...phase two has begun. I'm going to put power steering on my Silversides. More for safety re: a front wheel blowout, than for my wife who has a long way to go to double-clutching. I think I can modify the Sheppard unit and steering gears from a 4104. Any experience or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanx, Rdub |

i dont know about the silverside, you might want to consider the air assist might be easyer to install. they may also be able to fit a sheppard in there, but i dont know for sure Frank allen 4106 |

I am in the porcess of installing an air assist in my rig and will be glad to give you information on getting the unit if you are interested. It is a simpler installation than traditional power steering and I think the cost is comparable. Mine should be complete this week and I plan to drive it about 3500 miles in the next two weeks so I will have some information as to usage then. Clifford Neal |

To Clifford Neal, Yes, I would be very interested in the results of your air assist project. I've not heard good things from previous "air assist" owners. Thanks, Rdub |
