It is not uncommon for the left side to be set lower. The reason for this is to accomedate the 'road crown'. Most all roads are built with a crown at the center line to allow water to shed from the road, one inch may be a bit much but not overdone. On a spring suspension I always had extra leaf springs installed on the right side to allow for the off-set road surface and the extra weight that was transfered to the right tire, race cars do this also and is called wedgeing (more extreme and set for left or right turns only). You may want to check the rear to see if the right side is slightly higher, this would transfer the weight more on the left-front. If this is the case, adjust the leveler arm on the rear (best done over a pit). John 4104 |
