got a 8v92tt on the start from a stand still their is a puff of black smoke and then when start to go around a car a puff come out is this normal or not??

yep..... throttle delay may need a little adjustment... but if the smoke goes away, its working.... gotta get boost from turbo to make all the fuel burn.... no boost when you're idling.... fuel comes on quicker than boost comes up....thats what the throttle delay does....it keeps you from getting full fuel till you get boost...(not to be confused with scavenging)...

there is a gauge used to adjust the throttle delay... its a u-shaped looking feeler gauge that holds the rack to a certain dimension while the throttle delay linkage is adjusted...its harder to explain than it is to do....
