Is there any member who lives in Anchorage that could possibly pick something up from the AFB, if I buy it, and UPS it to me. Their shipping company wants a fortune to box it and ship it, far more than the item is worth. Thanks.

Peter, Tony Gojenolo(sp?) lives in Anchorage, I believe. I have seen quite a few posts by him over on the Yahoo GMC board.
Perhaps, if you put a request on that board, he will come back to you. He might be able to help you out.
I can't think of anyone else that I know who lives there.
Is there any chance that you good get the seller to drop the item off at a Mailboxes, Etc. place for you? I think that they will package and ship UPS.
