I have a friend who has a 1978 MC-8 and the engine, an 8v-71, just took a major dump. He owns a small excavating firm and has a fairly fresh 8v-92 out of one of his dump trucks that he would like to put in the bus. What challanges is he facing, or is this a fairly simple swap? Thanks for the advice!! MR

Hi: Iam in the process of doing just that, There is more to it then you may think. First bigger
radiators, and larger blowers. Different muffler 5" in and out. Different flex plate if using a auto transmission. Different front motor mount. Shorten drive shaft 1.25". Changing throttle linkage. Different front hub and pulley. If you are using a Auto transmission changing the torkconvertor to a 496. These a some of the thing
which came to mind quickly.

I changed my Neoplan from a Deutz/ZF to a 92/740. It was quite a job, but it worked out. I does take some stop and think time.
