I've bought a used coach with discolored and pitted Alcoa aluminum wheels. Does anyone have advice on how to clean and restore these wheels? |

I have Alcoa wheels on my pickup and ordered the "Alcoa Aluminum Care System" which is a 3 step process from: High Velocity Marketing Dept TT PO Box 642 Marietta, OH 45750 800 510-3058 The products came with the Alcoa name and logo on them so I do not know if Alcoa themselves makes, endorses and/or has it made for them. I am pleased with the results, in fact, my wheels look better than they did when they were new. |

Check your local truckstop. Most sell polishing rouge in many different grits. They come in different colored bars that you use with a power polisher. You can usually find them along with the correct buffs near the cleaning supplies section. This is the same stuff that the people who polish aluminum fuel tanks use and it will make your aluminum shine like chrome if you follow all the steps. If your local truckstop doesn't have the stuff, check the major chain places like T/A, Flying J, Petro, Pilot, etc. |

Alcola has a new aluminum cleaner out now that also contains a sealer. It is called PDQ Brightener. I picked up some samples at the Mid-America truck show in Louisville and tried in on my wheels. It works great! |
