Hi folks,

I paid the bills! Honest!!!

:-)

A technical hiccup on my account reseller caused a fault which put me off the air for awhile and automatically put up the erroneous message. Canaca, themselves, couldn't figure out why. I apologize for the inconvenience.

For the record, this web site and all the others that I manage, 10 or so I think, are paid automatically via credit card and so-called "reseller" accounts are not taken off the air for non-payment, according to my service provider.

Canaca, the company that was delivering the erroneous message today, is quite solvent and I am happy to do business with them. We have experienced very few technical problems with them.

To those who showed genuine concern on another bulletin board, thank you! To the many of you who took a moment to send me an email, thank you, as well. As soon as I get home from the seminar I am attending this week, I will acknowledge your kindness in a return email.

Again, I apologize for the service interruption and thank you for both your patience and continued support of BNO.

To al-anon, thank you for continuing to visit our bulletin board.

Regards,

Ian Giffin

I would like to extend an offer for hosting the site on my network should you ever feel the need.We have 1.6 GB/sec of aggregate Internet connectivity at redundancy/reliability levels no regional or local ISP or web host can afford.

I assure you that the board will always be available. We maintain a 99.99% uptime SLA on the network since we are the leading web analytics provider.

Of course the hosting will be free of charge. This offer is self serving since I can assure myself that technical difficulties will never prevent me from gettting my daily dose of BNO.

Thanx, Ian; on a cold, windy Thanksgiving morning in New Mexico we have many reasons to be truly thankful indeed, including your return as our daily "fix"! :)

(sigh) I remember this relaxed satisfied feeling, the one I've gotten virually every time I've logged on to BNO until...WHAT THE HECK???? ARRRRGGGGHHH
NOOOOooooooo....
I can only begin to tell you the ways I tried to log on... from different screen names, from different computers from seperate accounts, thinking it was a glich on my end...all to no avail.

Yes, I do remember this soothing comfort...those other feelings, I want to forget those.

I personally have much to be thankful for this thanksgiving, least of which is BNO

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY

I guess as with all things that we get for no payment we take it for granted. I've been a regular reader of the board for a few years now and it's the first place I go to when I turn on the computer. It sent a wave of panic a few days ago when lo and behold there was a blank page and a sinister message. So at this time I would like to send a great Thank You to Ian for this board and all the work he does and also to all the other contributors who make this such an enjoyable experience. Thank You all.

Uhhhh, did I REALLY say, least of which is BNO... to be thankful for?
Sorry I@n what I MEANT to say, is NOT the least of which... I think everyone understood that.

Thanks for a great place, and a great job in making it what it is

Brian

Editor's Note: Thank you Brian. I knew what you meant and I sincerely appreciate your kindness. I never take that for granted. Not in the least :-)

It was the gods reminding us that, even tho Ian, Keeper of the Busnut Realm, is a powerful sprite, even he does not have omnipotence in the ways of uptime and service provider account confusions.

Be wary, mere mortals, do not put your faith in these bits of wires and silicon, or you shall find yourselves forever lost....

or something like that.

Thank you Ian for this thoughtful venue in which we can share information.

happy coaching!
