To all those that have or have had in the past Coachnet Roadside assistance have any of you with the older rigs needed a tow and they pulled the "Your coach is older than 40 years old therefor it is exempt from coverage". I have put another coach on the road that will fall into this category so I was fishing to see if anyone has had an issue. Thanks

Jack, throw your hook back in the water and be sure its the one on stuck in your hat. Wearing it is an option.

Thanks Luvrbus. I have also presumed that over the years and fortunately never been in the situation that might come up. The trouble I see after reviewing the policy again is there is no stipulation in the wording defining motorhomes, buses, rv's and such. Just they want tow a vechicle over 40 years old. I can see that playing to there advantage if the nearest qualifed DD shop was 1000 miles away....Anyone know where Jacks fishing so he can reel me in....

When I joined Coach Net I saw the claus about 40 years and I called them on it. Their answer was it didn't apply to buses only cars. I sure hope they do as they say as mine is a 1965 GMC. That is 46 years old. It would be nice to hear from somebody that had a coach over 40 years old towed by them.

I only had the verbal assurances everyone else has alluded to when I joined. My coach was over 40 years old when i bought it and applied for towing 2 years ago. They told me the same thing, that bus conversions were not affected by the age limitation as they found conversions to be overall more well cared for and less apt to breakdown than S&S of the same vintage.
(Hey Cade call me back, I missed yoour call this weekend)

I have not had to use the towing service myself but know a person that had their drop box on an MCI5C go out and was towed to a repair facility using Coach Net.

Hey guys I use Allstate RV Roadhelp, have had it since 95, tho my GMC is only 36 yrs old. Have used many times even with car out of town. They just towed the coach a year ago. Also have used just the road assistance also. Has been near a hundred bucks all that time. I have no intrest in the company other than buying the insurance.
Saved me lots.

"WHere the hell has Dal been during this...?"

I've been watching the anguished gnashing of teeth and the perennial wringing of hands.....

When my bus breaks down, I fix it on the side of the road enough to get to a campground. If I can't, I call Coachnet, although I haven't ever had to do that.

We've had Coachnet for about 4 years? maybe 6, I forget.

I have had a couple of tires changed, the kids car towed and they even brought some gasoline once for a junk motor home I bought so I could move it to a position it could be towed.

Sam's Club has the same thing, just a different name, and Good Sam also has one, but you'll receive about 50 pounds of junk mail per year with them.

Good Luck.

The easiest way to do it..... just don't break down!

How is the Progressive tow insurance, they seem to be lowest cost for the bus.

Nothing wrong with Progressive except sometimes you have to up front the money for the tow but they are good at reimbursements no kind of upfront monies with CoachNet

good luck

Progessives choices of tow rigs have never asked me for anything but a signature, even to pull me out of that east Texas sugar sand....4 feet later and Progressive paid over 5 C's :-) no problemo in Santa Rosa NM either. Works for me.
