Since fire is on everyones mind right now i was wondering if anybody has used this stuff. I saw a demo on tv on Trucks! awhile back and went to their website at www.FireFreeze.com and found it interesting. I think it would be great for hot brakes for one thing. Puts out any flames and cools them off so they won't reignite plus no messy cleanup and you can refill your own extinguisher.

I am the medical coordinator for dragboat racing in Oregon and we only use cold fire on boat fires including nitro and alcohol fires. The divers love this stuff because unlike all other fire extuingishers you don't have to take apart the engine down, just blow/wash it out and fire the engine up. Last year one of the boats we sponser had a carb fire and we used cold fire on it and he was back out the next round, Great stuff !!!!!

Down the list a bit is a thread on fires and fire suppression. In that thread, I mentioned that I followed the testing of the product in NHRA (drag racing). I got to know the inventor and he seemed to be a pretty straight forward guy. The last I knew, the NHRA fire trucks use cold fire and they approved it for the fire suppression systems in Funny Cars, since the Halon systems took all the oxygen and the drivers could not breathe.

The stuff is great, but the they used to be very proud of their product. About 5 years ago the spray can went for about $14.
