I picked up my bus from the paint shop and had to learn the wiring on the Level Low manual/ automatic leveling system before I could drive the coach. The guy cut the wires (which had been spliced several times and were too short) to get a panel out and did not remember where they went. I rewired it with consistent colors.

HERE'S WHAT I FOUND OUT. If you have a toggle switch from Prevost for Level Low manual height adust, THE SYSTEM REQUIRES POWER FOR AUTOMATIC, REVERTS TO MANUAL WITHOUT POWER. There are three normally closed solenoids, one front and one for each side of the rear that are powered open when the switch is in the down, "automatic" position.
If power is lost to this circuit or the wires are disconnected, the default is manual height control. So if you were set low for ease of getting in and out and drove off with no power on this circuit, you would not rise to driving height. You would drive off with the tires rubbing the wheel wells. I almost did that, because it seems obvious that it should default to driving conditions. Thank God I fixed it before I drove off.

One other thing about this system. The warning flasher on mine does not work unless both bulbs, the one buy the switch and the one on the dash, are good. One bulb does not use enough current to cycle the flasher. Hope this helps someone else someday.

How did the paint job turn out?

The paint job is OK, but the job took 7 weeks instead of 2 weeks and the trim work around the windows and the headlights did not get painted as promised. The fiberglassing of the front uper windshields did turn out beautifully. I ran out of patience at four weeks. Not giving out the name of the shop. SF
