I love this board. Don't own a bus (yet) but do have a motorhome. since I read this site all the time I didn't think anyone would mind this question (if that makes any sense at all). By the way, Ian, keep up the great work. Due to the size of bus brakes this might not be a problem, but has anyone installed an aux toad brake system and how did you like it? I'm looking at the vip-tow brake. Thanks in advance... nvnenzel in reno |

When we had the motorhome, 30ft Southwind, I could definitely tell the difference when the toad break was hooked up ! Go to Google and type in "Toad Brakes" there are a large number of responses. A number of states require aux. brakes but if they actually check them unless You have a accident,I don't know. If You have a accident and it is determined aux. brakes could have helped You stop,You in a HEAP of TROUBLE. { Per; My two sons, Lawyers } |

It is not just a matter of whether you can tell a difference in the feel of the brakes. My bus may be able to stop just as well with a toad with no toad brakes, but the toad could jackknife. It is a matter of control. |
