Hell and High Water keep coming around, but with any luck we will make Arcadia. Now we have grandiose plans of having our bus car and motorcycle lift, but in the mean time we will be lucky to have a sleeping bag, no less a toad. Can someone tell us about the availability of taxi service, or rental cars there?

Arcadia is sooooooo big why dont you toss in a couple of pedel bikes. We plan on being there and like most people in that type of setting would help you get to a store and stuff.

we were there a couple of months back with the 4106. stayed at the KOA. it was farther from down town Bar Harbor but it was the best; we looked at the others and have already reserved a spot on the ocean at KOA for next summer. there were shuttle buses severale times each day that would take you to various places including Bar Harbor. when are you planning on going? most if not all the camp grounds are closed for the winter (i think). joe

Joe, I think there's some confusion. Bill Glenn was referring to Arcadia, Florida, where Jack Conrad is having his get-together January 1-4, 2004. All campgrounds in Florida are open for the winter, you must be thinking of a different place.

Bill,
There is a taxi company in Arcadia. Many of the antique district stores are within walking distance. I am sure you will not have any trouble finding a ride to WalMart, as most seem to make a daily pilgrimage to this RVer's shrine. Jack

I think Joe missed the "r" in Arcadia. He is refering to Acadia National Park in Maine. A beautiful place to visit!!!
