We will be heading out to the Texas hill country next week for the wildflowers. It is supposed to be one of the most beautiful sights in the world and should be better than usual this year. Anybody have any experiences or advice. Places to go and places to stay. I haven't been to Texas in years. This doesn't fit well on the board so you can Email me if you like. Steve Fessenden |

Steve: I'm south of San Antonio and it WAS a beautiful spring. One of the best in years. It is about played out from San Antonio southward. I was in Fredricksburg Monday and the bluebonnets still look pretty good. You may have good luck on US 87 around Fredricksburg, Comfort, and Mason. IH 10 around Kerrville and Boerne. State Hiway 46 from Boerne to New Braunfels. US 281 from Blanco to San Antonio. These are usually good wildflower areas. David Anderson, Pleasanton |

David, I will not reach the Austin Area until April 20. I am only coming for the wildflowers. Should we cancel or will there be good wildflowers north of Austin. Steve Fessenden |
