I have all the stuff ,alt and accesory drive off 8v71, double belts drive, but the accsesory drive looks to small in relation to where the stock generator comes off ,any comments?

THe stock generator was keeping some blower fans , that are the size of a starter motor happy.
And loads of reading and interior lights too.

A smaller alternator ,150A or so will work just fine to keep the house bank up.

Try to find an alt that has an external regulator.

IF you do much deep cycle camping , you can properly recharge the house while driving, if you purchase a 3 step regulator.

I put the aux drive on my 04 and changed over to the alternator. 160 Amp with built in regulator and it works fine on mine..Only had to hook one wire to the alternator.

I don't know if the aux drive for a 8v71 and 671 are the same.
