A little oil is probably better than WD-40. I oil mine once a year, just squirt a little from the ole oil can into the line going to the air motor. That keeps them working fine.

I tried cleaning and oiling the air wipers on my 4104 but the motor bushings were just too worn out to work reliably. I ended up replacing the motors with electric motors and a single switch with a delay. Works great, looks great and the wiper arms contain a windshield wiper spray nozzle. Overall cost less than $300 with new components.

I rebuilt the air windshield motors on my GMC 4905A and replaced the wiper vales with new valves.

The new wiper motor kits were $16.96 each, and the new control vales $17.34 each. Total price through Mohawk Mfg & Supply, was about $70.

I did not want to pay the price difference for electric wipers and the rebuilt wipers work smoothly and serve their purpose nicely.

If you interested Mohawk's number is 800-323-7632

Chris, Your my Hero. Thanks for pointing out an alternative to $600.00 electric wipers. I too don't plan to drive in that much rain.
