I have the NJT with the split doors. On the right side as you exit the bus is a door cylinder. This cylinder has a hole approx 3/8id with threads and has wires coming out the hole. The hole leaks air from it when the bus is turned off after air has built up. NO LEAK when running. Is this a form of a blowoff hole? or is it missing something? |

The door cylinder on my MCI-9 was leaking. After taking the cylinder a part, I found a bad o-ring. Replacement of the o-ring cured my leak. Several NJT owners have replaced their bi-doors and you may be able to get another cylinder from them if yours is beyond repair. Richard Jones 83-MCI-9 Castle Rock, Wa |

Thanks Richard. I will attempt to take it appart and check that. I will when budget allows change to a single door.. I have found a donor mc8 but wish to do a lot of measuring to make sure that it will fit the way I wish. |
