I hired a guy to polish my MC-7 He spent about 9 hours and used black brown and white rouge, It looks like crap he swears it is something in the metal that he can't polish out but it is hazy in some places and looks nice in others.
Any suggestions? I think it just needs more work, or has someone actually had this problem?
thanx in advance

I have done an MC8 and MC9. I used black, white, blue on MC8 and Two grades of green on MC9. It took 40 hours in both cases to do the job. Sounds to me like he rushed the job.

When I polished my MC-8, I used black, red, white and blue. I had a few spots that were hazy. I went back and repolished them. I think he did not spend enough time doing the job. I spent at least 8 hours on each side with a power polishing wheel. Jack

Was in Puerto Penasco in Feb and a friend with me had his MC7 (5 yr old lower skins) done for $40. 2 men, 4 hrs ea.on the stainless. Can't remember the name of the compound but was in a large-mouth metal can, consistency was between liquid and paste--looked better than new when they finished. He got wash, hand wax, and stainless polished for a total of $90, incl. the tip!
