The questions posted are solely those of the individual for research purposes only. The fact that it has been allowed to be posted does not reflect the approval of a business by BNO or it's Moderator. Nor should it be construed as "Advertising" as the only link mentioned is to a private e-mail address. What kinds of products would you like to be able to buy (online) for RV/Camping? I'm not talking about the tacky lights, awnings, jacks, major appliances, etc. What I'm referring to are the things that basically makes your RV/camping experience more pleasant and/or convenient. Also those "hard-to-find" items that would be perfect for your RV but you have a hard time finding (not brand specific, just general items). So far my tentative list includes: small appliances (toaster ovens, coffee makers, etc) nesting cookware sleeping bags GPS (?) Lanterns cook stoves/grills space organizers (I don't know about anyone else but I NEVER have enough space) Day packs (don't think I want to get into the internal/external frame backpacks) Binoculars Pet Stuff Please add to my list anything that you think would be good. Also tell me what items to stay away from. It would be nice if your spouses could also add their opinions. You can e-mail me directly if you want. Thank you Lorna davidschinske@juno.com |

When traveling in my old, err, VERY OLD RV, the things that always were a struggle were power and heating. On the road, the class "C" heater could not heat the rear of the camper but as long as you had the engine running, you could run the furnace. When Parked, the battery could survive only one heating cycle, then the voltage would go below the safety level and the furnace would not fire up, leaving the fan to blow cold air and to continue dragging the voltage down. With the above mentioned senario, heaters that use NO POWER are desired with oxygen sensors and stacks to exhaust any harmful vapors. (I found some at West Marine in both propane and diesel variety). I also carry electric heaters but one must weigh the convenience against the power supply available if parking for the night. I also like a lot of light in my RV(conversion) since the RV might as well have been in space and has been known to some as "The Black Hole". In the conversion, I fitted 4 boat hatchs, tempered glass, tinted to reflect heat, opens for great ventilation, and oh the light, Light, LIGHT!!! Everything else is kinda common RV stuff, fits in well. Of course as technology keeps moving ahead we need to look and see if we want more STUFF. lololol Oh what a time to create on your own and build to your own personal taste and desires. How about a simple remote control unit which, when pointed in their direction, will cause campground boom boxes and automobile sound systems which cause the vibration of whole neighborhoods, to self-destruct? tg |

I Have been asked to design one, but I didn't think there was a good market for it, since Remington and others have made just such a device for many years. Gary |
