Are any of you using Omni brake chambers on your buses and if so what do you like or dislike about them. i am going to change out the rears on my 4104 and go to the 30/30 instead of the mini max that i have at present. thanks for any and all answers both good and bad about them and what you would use... thanks Mel 4104 |

They are good spring brakes I never used Omni because of the price difference in Omni and the others like MGM, Haldex,Anchorloc and others good chambers that is about all you see on the Featherlite Nascar trailers good luck |

What is the difference between an Omni and a "standard" spring brake chamber such as a Haldex or a Bendix? Brian |

For a long time and I don't know if it has changed with the others are not but Omni was the only sealed spring brakes.I don't know for sure if they are better than the others but if they haven't come down in price they sure cost more for certain models good luck |

The big spring clamp ring is now crimped on, I believe all models, so the common, easy to find brands are the ones to get. They are surprisingly cheap because every truck uses them. It's nice that they will fit on a 4104, opposed to the newer GM models.Maybe one of these days, someone will come out with a shorter version that we can replace the DD3's with; and assorted plumbing that goes with it.Or new DD3,s at an affordable price. |
