Who owns this beautiful 4106? I was traveling through a downpour on 581 in Roanoke, Va when I spotted this bus. It had Maryland vanity plates "STRAHND" and a FMC# 114040. I would have loved to have seen it parked and up close. I am sure the driver was wondering what on earth I was doing as I stalked him. It was uncluttered and gorgeous. The way I would like the outside of mine to look. Definitely one of the nicer 4106s on the road. Anyone know who this is? I am in Maryland once in a while and would love to meet the owner. Laryn, Is that your coach in the small pic on your profile? If so, where did you get your awning done? Thanks, Kat |

Kat, I kept looking at that blue 4106 trying to see an awning LOL. Mine was there when I bought it. It is a Colorado carefree. I am partial to the ZipDee awnings because they appear to be less obtrusive. The Colorado awning is very easy to use though. Regardless of what you get it looks like a DIY job to install. HTH. |

Kat The A&E people dometic.com used to have a listing for different profile arms. Some are straight and some are slightly curved at the top. Call your local dealer for more info. Bill |

The tailgate treatment with integrated backup lights is very tasteful too. |

Hi Tom, What is that? Bill, I believe I was advised that the curved arm type of awning is better for bus conversions because of the gutters on both sides. I'll check into it. Thanks, Kat |

the awnings with the curved arms are better because the wind doesn't get behind it and rip it apart. They are different curve to fit different coaches so look for that when buying one. Gomer |

To bad people don't put where they are in their profile maybe someone could help them if they lived close by? Just a suggestion. Reason I say that, we in Northern California have RV Doctor in Sacramento, CA and this guy has huge used RV parts collection at a great prices and was just there yesterday. He has every kind of awning arm you can imagine and the pieces to make your own if needed, but you are probably form the other coast? http://www.rvdoctorgeorge.com/parts.html Chromie |

You bet Kat. Great place if you can't find something for your Bus or RV they might and probably will have it. Not motor parts or drive train stuff but that kind of stuff they will have. Dave |
