I have to admit, Susan and I went to the RV show in Tampa on Saturday and looked over all the BUS conversions. ALL Of them! Her's how it went. We dressed casuall as in jeans and t-shirt. Actually we were undecided on going until the last minute. Once there we Stood in line at a couple of conversions only to find a pretty girl standing inside them acting as a hostess. I thought that was kind of cool. I mean, heck if you have a coach that has a price tag of 1.4 million, why not flaunt a pretty face along with it. NO they didn't come as an option, I asked! Anyway, it got to be pretty fun as most of the owners wouldn't even give you the time of day so to speak. They kind of made you feel like you were taking up their time in THEIR coach. Here we are in the conversions, tape measure and pad, getting ideas, taking up other people's time that were still in line. After I think about it, I guess we were taking up their time! Why not I figure? I'm one of them owners now too! You know the "P" owners! Ok well here's where the fun started. I kind of made it point by nonchalantly (sp) letting people know that WE, the two bum looking people dressed in jeans and t-shirt were owners. The looks we got were surprising to say the least like "yea right buddy" until one guy took me serious, expecially after I told him it was an H model. He turned out to be a pretty nice guy that has his own conversion company. He Invited us up to his shop anytime whci is only about 1 1/2 hrs away so he could share his knowledge! He DID have the best layout and quality of them all including the featherlites. Anyway, I confess, I know down deep I didn't have to let on that I was a "P" owner but it was fun just saying it, even when we were standing in line for a hotdog. The lady in front of us heard me ask Susan if she was getting excited about taking delivery of our NEW bus next week and she turned and asked us if we REALLY bought one? Right then I could have explained but... NAH, I saw an opening and took it! She thought I was talking about one of the 1.4 mill bus's! Little does she know but I didn't let on! Like I said, It was fun! Susan later said I was going to have to let my hat out a little so it would still fit... my comment to her was, "at least I could still wear one". After a while, She enjoyed playing the game too! It made for a nice day and we even topped it off by seeing our frinds Bill and Brenda Phelan hard at work! If it wasn't for them, we could have never played like we did!  | ||
