Hello All,

I have a line on some aluminum boat fuel tanks that I wish to use for WVO. The tanks are in Oregon City, Oregon and I am in Lancaster, California. The tanks are pretty light - about 60-70 lbs each, but somewhat bulky: 69" X 30" X 9".

Shipping costs more than the price of tanks. I would gladly pay someone for their trouble if they happen to be heading south from that area.

I hope it is okay to post something like this!

Thanks,
Kevin

Not to rain on your parade, but where do you figure you will find enough WVO to fuel a bus?

Most of the restaurants around here are now leasing their vegetable oil and paying for any shrinkage.

WVO is available if you are willing to pay for it.

By the time you factor in the cost of purchasing the WVO, handling the WVO to a point you can use it in your vehicle, and plumbing your bus to be dual fueled you can purchase many hundreds of gallons of dino diesel.

And if the government is successful in trying to tax us by the mile you won't save on the fuel tax either.

Just my two cents.

Hi Mark,

I've got oil piling up - couple of different suppliers. I've set up a cold-upflow settling and dewatering system. I've located a couple of tanks and, yes, the valves, heat exchangers and so on will be somewhat of an investment, but will pay form themselves very quickly.

Government. Well, it will be interesting to see what happens.

So, when are you bringing my tanks down? Heh, heh.

Kevin
