Folks I'm dropping in to say hello! I bought a Scenicruiser from Kyle and Tom last summer, and am slowly working on it to get it roadworthy again.
I am new to bussin but not mechanical things, so hope this will be doable for me! My other hobbies include old cars, flying and building a Mustang II kit plane.
Many of the skills learned have helped me with the bus already. My biggest hurdle so far has been learning my way around that detroit! All of the diesel stuff is new to me, and some parts of it I can't even identify! I'm learning though. Fortunately it does run, so I am working on the cosemtic side of things first to keep the family into it.
That goes against the grain as far as I am concerned, but without their enthusiasm for the project it would be exponentially more difficult!

At least you have the Family participation. I have tolerance and a slight warming to the idea on my side. I am hoping the end product will be enjoyed (if there is an end). After all she started the spark!

I was cornfused about my detroit too for a long time and still am for the most part but when I opened up the compartment in the front and found my engine had been stolen I paniced until a kiind old gentleman told me that iggle always put a spare engine in the rear so not to panic, wow what a relief.

Don't panic it's a simple matter of Y's,I's,and O's (in the right spot)And think of all those early Porsche, Volkswagen, Corvair, and Fiat 128 spider owners looking for somewhere to put their luggage in the trunk!

Welcome Boyce,
It's always nice to see someone new on board. I am fairly new and can tell you that your enjoyment of board depends on your involvement, and sense of humor. Don't take everything said seriously, and please don't be afraid to ask a question. Most of all, enjoy your bus while you can.

Good Luck,
Mike

Welcome from the frozen tundra (yes we had snow again last week). Beautiful bus. I have found with the folks on here the only unanswered questions are those that you were afraid to ask.

Hello and welcome from the Mojave Desert in Sunny So. California where the HOT meets the Sun and will fry you and your rubber in nothing flat! If you are ever down this way, stop in and have some sun tea on the surface of the sun :-)
