My Jeep Grand Cherokee (2000) has tow hooks on the front for pulling. Does anyone know if these are where a base plate would connect or if they are strong enough. I haven’t checked on tow bars yet just wondering.

We hung a solid tow bar to the same brackets on our 1988 Cherokee, but it was not the Grand Cherokee. There were additional factory pieces of metal bracing the existing frame, we had no trouble towing that way.

Those are not for tow bars . Go to the Blue Ox
website and see what the base plate looks like
and the mounting instructions .
