Any tarheels out there that can tell me how NC treats a privately owned bus?
The tax due at registration is based on the value of the car. Pretty scary when titling a vehicle that origonally sold for $100K

The tax is on what you paid @15000 my tax was 480. |

They figured my 06, said they had a book to go by, valued it at 500.00, tax was next to nothing, they did not see it nor did they want to, tag was 26.00, got inspected at a regular car inspection station and breezed right through.

Did mine as a RV too was cheap. But the seller put the price i paid for it on the title so i had to pay taxes on the $6000.00
