Hello everyone, I'm new here.
I have an unusual project for a bus conversion. I'm a member of our local Search & Rescue and we are buying a 1990 Bluebird All American Front Engine, 84 passenger, to convert into a Mobile Command Post. Once the project is completed it will also be used by the Local County Emergency Management.

We are still in the planning stage. You know, how many workstations, power outlets, lights, Generator(s), etc. What we don't have is a structural diagram of the bus. If I had such a drawing it would be easier to show different floor plans, locations for generators and structural changes that are being proposed.

Does anyone have or know where to find the drawings for the above bus? It could be only a basic floor plan with a side view.
Thank you for your help. Steve.

The local garage (a chrysler dealer) just finished a bus that was in an accident. The frame was bent. The only thing that composes the frame on that bus was two rails running from the front to the rear of the bus, both had to be replaced, they don't bend rails back on school buses.

My suggestion would be to talk to a body shop that is big enough to be able to do this kind of work. I don't think the structual strength will be as complicated as you may think on a school bus.

Cd,
I'm not worried about making structural changes. I looked at a bus just like the one we are getting in a local Body Shop.
I would like to have the drawings for PLANNING purposes. It would be much easier to makes changes on a set of drawings instead of just waving my arms in the air looking like a traffic cop. GriNs
Thanks, Steve.

I found a drawing of a conventional 77 passenger bus but not an 88 passenger All American. Like this one:

Is Bluebird not in business anymore? Maybe you could contact International Bus. Formaly called American Transportation in Conway Arkansas. They make the Ward School bus.

Don'no, last time I looked at the Bluebird Website (just last week) they still showed an "All American" bus. I think they did stopped building the lighter version called the TC2000. (Just a guess).
Steve.
