The previoius post concerned the "Future-Liners"
BUT
Back in 1933 the original "Parade of Progress" coach GM built was not called a Future-Liner...
That model was called the StreamLiner & the picture above is one of the 8 built & used until Pearl Harbor.

Now, there was yet another model built that remains largely out of the general populations collective memories
These were built for the "PREVIEW of PROGRESS"!
Have a look at THIS...

I really appreciate Art Deco and that baby is about the essence of the era in my book.
If it only had the spiral stairs to the center position cockpit...

(BTW-anyne with 20/600 vision can see the similarity to this &
a particular tube-stuffing/hog parts processor, so save your breath & hum the jingle to yourself please!)

Maybe Fooey & I will go into business
building re-creations of it..
...hey he's got a welder now!

If these Coaches blow wind up you pant leg
you can waste an hour here on them

ENJOY..!!!

Peter Pan has a resto, 45 Mph and the drivers get really excited with every overpass they go under!

The drivers eye height is such that the drivers get really excited with every overpass they go under!

The first one looks a lot like the old moving vans and they pulled a trailer that matched also.

The second one is pretty cool where they put wheel well covers on the steer openings also. Neat design.

David,
Sister in-law lives in Ma. and said they were pretty scarey beings it was the first time they ever saw one there but didn't hit much luckely.

The first Futureliners that we are all familiar with had glass enclosed drivers roofs.
It would get so hot inside that the driver could pass out so many of them were changed to a metal cowl over the top and aircraft style windshields.
