Our church is buying an '81 MC-9. I would like to be able to use the sink in the restroom but every commercial bus operator I've talked to said they don't us them and the plumbing seems to be a mystery to them other than the water tank is behind the mirror. Can anyone shed some light on how the plumbing is supposed to work and what I would need to check to make it work?? Thanks, Bob |

Mine was covered over, rivited, and all lines had been cut when I got it. Can't imagine why, it doesn't look like rocket science. There's an input to the tank externally on the pass rear, then a line from the tank to the spout. And an output to drain on the ground. One other line but it's too dark to see right now. If you want to know more, just give a ping. |

Hi Bob: Don't do it!! A good while back, a bus company had a passenger drink that water and they died. That was the end of "running water sinks" in coaches!!!! You can easily provide your fellow church members with a container holding "wet-naps" or some such product to satisfy their needs for sanitation. I Hope this HELPS!!! Happy & Safe Bussin' to All!!! Wow. Never guessed that would've been the reason. There's was a sign on mine that said "non-potable" but that must not have been preventive enough. |

I'm going to connect my wash basin back up it looks to be pretty much all there AND ONLY so I can register the coach as a motorhome, with running water... Then it will come out with the rest of the bathroom... Non-potable water indeed! Brian |

Those tanks don't get cleaned out enough and all kinds of bacteria and microbes live in there. I don't think the current Greyhound fleet has running water sinks in the restrooms anymore, precisely because of what Luke wrote. |

My prevost has two supply lines to the tank, One for water hose to fill the other marked Chemical add, it does smell like a deodorizer and is used in tank as well as hand wash. So who knows what might have been added. I'm running new water lines to the restroom which is a shower and potty now. It will be bath and a half. |
