Has anyone noticed that air wipers tend to stall at low speed when changing directions after using this stuff? I been noticing that any of my cars have noisey wipers after applying this stuff. I used to think that it was the linkage getting worn until a friend complained about his wipers being noisey after using it? Has anyone else noticed this? It seems to make it more difficult for the wipers to change direction. I'm not knocking Rain-x, it works great. Just something that I noticed.Could explain the stalling of air wipers

I used it quite a bit a few years back and noticed that my wiper wore out quicker with it. If you ever let the rain-x wear off a little you'll be up a creek cause your wipers won't be worth a darn.

Just my 2 cents.

I use RAIN-X All the time on ALL my vehicles, it is great stuff, I would not be without it.

I have not notice any problems what so ever. no noise, wiper rubber fine, same average life of wiper blade as when I did not use Rain-X, no problem at all, just clear vision going down the road.

As a matter of fact, I usually never have to use the wipers on the highway, I use it on all the windows on the cars and trucks and the old RV and on the windshield of the RTS.

Don't Leave Home Without It!

What ever problems this stuff may have the benifits far outweigh the any possible problems. The increase in visibility it amasing. Often going down the interstate in the rain I get better visibility with wipers off than on -- the rain just blows off and much better visibility in between the rain drops on the windshield. I sometimes notice if I've a fresh coat on and not been in rain for a while dust can build up on the windshield a bit which may, I guess, become inbedded in the wipers. I've not really noticed any differance in the operation of my air wipers with or without using Rain X -- but then again I rearly travel with out using it.

I too am a Rain-X fan. Great to have if you lose your wipers in rain.
Possibly the wipers drag a little harder with RainX because there's less water on the windshield to lubricate the wiper/glass contact. But sticking wipers is something I haven't noticed in 30 years of using the stuff.

I love the stuff too, but I haven't had a chance to put it on lately. It seems to work best when used regularly, and Rain-X just made that easier by introducing a windshield washer fluid that contains Rain-X. A friend of mine uses it, and now he never has to apply the rain-x by hand. I think you still need to apply it by hand the first time, then the windshield wash maintains it. I'm gonna try the stuff when I have a minute.
