I just bought a 1981 eagle and im getting started on the conversion. The bus has the double air operated door and i want to know what everyone has done for doors on there rigs. My wife and kids like the doors the way they are. But i see problems with leaving them. They are hard to open and close with no air, no way to lock them, and when running 65- 70 down the interstae alot of air and noise come from them. Thanks for any sugestions! |

lots of people fabricate a single door ,hinged at the front...I like the air doors & have installed a tiny 12 volt air comp. that keeps the air up 100% of the time, even while parked, it only requires 20# of pressure... |

Where did you get the 12 volt compr. and how did you plumb it in? |

it came from a Cadilac...on the inner fender...I have it hooked up to a tank that has a pressure switch to shut off at 80#..then a regulator off of it with 20# |
