Hi, Ok, this time I'm sure... Running both a/c units today in the driveway (over 100 here in KC) while working on the refrig. I had them both running on high cool and coldest temp. I turned my front a/c unit to low cool and a minute later it shut itself off. I figured out that after I turned it down, the compressor or motor was still running for a while, but the fan was not blowing in the low cool (or Low Fan) position - thus it then shut itself down. How can I diagnose the problem with the fan? I assume that there is one fan, but different voltage inputs for low and high? Thanks. |

Will it run normally with the fan set on HIGH? If so, check for a bad capacitor in the blower motor circuit. edit: sorry, had to run (Message edited by cullennewsom on July 01, 2011) |

Do you have Thermostat? If you do make sure it is set to Auto and that the temp is below what the temp actually is. Try it on regular without auto and see if it works. FWIW Chromie |

Yes, it seems to work fine on high cool. Only shuts down when set to low cool. I don't have a thermostat control - just the variable temp setting on the unit iteslf. |
