If you exit the I-40 for the Flying J, then head North/East on that road, the old Rt66, out of Kingman to the Grand Canyon Caverns, sign posted Peach Springs. According to my map, the Caverns are about 10 miles beyond Peach Springs. If you are travelling West from the I-17/Flagstaff direction on the I-40, then exit at Seligman and take the old Rt66 West for about 25 miles to the Caverns. The Caverns are marked on my map. You will be travelling on the longest remaining continuous section of the Rt66. The I-17 is not flat by any means. The Hwy 93 has been widened and greatly improved with lots of 4 lane divided sections added. Quite a picturesque drive, especially through the hills. Only towns are Wickenburg and Wickieup, make sure you have fuel for the trip. Peter. |

Here is a map that might be of interest. http://www.datastormusers.com/showmap.cfm Click on user #17 (that's me). It will zoom in to give precise location of the Caverns, right down to my exact campspot location to within about 20-30 feet accuracy. Scott |
