I just purchased a 1948 Park Royl Regent MK III Double decker bus in Fort Worth, TX, and need have it moved to Austin, Tx. This bus is 27 feet long, 7 feet wide and at least 13 foot 6 inches tall. If you can help please contact me as soon as possible at dan7064@yahoo.com Thanks and God bless. Rev. Dan H |

With that extreme hight your going to have to drive it , or somehow get it flat towed. Second chance, if your near a railroad and can rent a flatcar & find a route with enough hight. Driving would be simplest, lowest cost. FAST FRED |

I'm sure for a price you could contact a heavy equipment moving company and they would move it for ya. They may have to go round the world to get there to avoid some bridges. Your minimum hight on the trailer would be at least 15 and that's going to be interesting. If you were in GA you could move it most places, they're in the process of raising all the bridges to 16ft. |

I would put a tow bar on it and tow it behind my 1939 Ford 1/2 ton pickup. Thats how I got my 1939 1 1/2 ton truck home. |

Moving high loads in Texas is not a big problem. Texas measures all overpasses at the lowest point (normally at the shoulder) and any low overpass has a service road to bypass on. Texas has many high loads due to the oilfield equiptment being moved. Fort Worth to Austin should not be a problem, if going through downtown Austin you will want to use the service road as there are a few low overpasses through town on I-35. Check with a farm equiptment dealer for a reference to a hauler in Austin. I have hauled many high loads through Texas in the past 15ft plus. John 4104 & 4106 |
