Do these electrical coils have the voltage that they are to operate marked on them?

They have the voltage marked on the disk where the shaft goes through the coil you may have to remove the keeper sometimes the disk get flipped over.
I use 24V on a 12V system all the time they work good never used a 12V on a 24v couldn't tell you if that works or not bet it does

good luck

G'Day,

Are we talking about 6V92 jake coils here. This hadn't cross my mind before, now you have me worried. Still haven't started my motor yet so this was very timely. Thanks for this.

hey, thanks. Mine haven't worked since I bought the coach.Found a top came off one solenoid and oil passage clearance was 3 times as wide as should be on one unit. Need to check the top ones also.

Thanks...I'll check those. Looked like the gap backed off on one; looked like 1/4 inch gap. Also a top disc was lying down on head. I was planning on replacing that coil. That is why I thought I better check if it is 12 or 24 volt. Looks like they changed the coils. Mine need a spanner to remove.

John
When you replace the rubber seals turn the jumper screw till it lightly contacts the next casting then back off 1/3 of a turn to allow for working clearance. Hold the postion with a wrench and tighten the lock nut to prevent movement. Failure to allow working clearance will break off the jumper screw.
