I took my suburban to go get my son on the coast Sunday. I was going west on 166 (a mountain twisty 2 lane highway). I was about midway in a line of cars and in the opposite lane there was a line of cars going east. In the middle of the east going cars was about a 30' motorhome pulling about a 15' enclosed trailor. As the motorhome came around a bend about 2 car links in front of me, a tire EXPLODED on it!!! Right in front of the car in front of me!!! The car in front of me, myself and the car in back of me, as well as 2 or 3 cars behind the motorhome....... we all had to swerve and dodge pieces of flying rubber everywhere!!!

REally, really, really SCAREY!!!!

How well I know that feeling.
I was headed NB on US41 in Indiana once with a semi and flatbed loaded with scrap Mexican coins headed for Milwaukee to be turned into tin cans or bobby pins or something.
This was a 4 lane, and there was a bit of traffic but nothing close enough to bother me, until I came up on one of those little 1970's Toyota/Chinook motor homes pulling a trailer with a golf cart and a boat stacked one on top of the other doing about 40mph in a 55mph zone. I would bet that his trailer hitch wasn't more than 2-3" off the ground.. his safety chains were dragging.
Traffic started going around me and I had to wait about 30 minutes to get around this guy, who was weaving from the dirt side of the shoulder to the dotted line between the lanes.
Finally I saw my chance and started around him, gathering speed as I went into the left lane.
He was still weaving back and forth and coming within about 18" of me at the closest approach, even though I was running on the left side line with my drive tires.
When my trailer got to him, he was still just bumbling along, fat, dumb and happy.... until I had an outside dual let go...... KA-BOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!
The last I saw of him was as he headed east, off the road, out through a corn field across the furrows with chunks of tire sticking out of his itty bitty motor home.
Did I stop? Well, I should have, but no I didn't. I watched in the mirror and saw him get out and look at the side of his vehicle.
Besides, I was laughing too hard to be able to do much more than keep it straight on the road.

A couple of years ago as we were headed down I-5 in Wa. we had a Class B motorhome pass us on the left and start to pull into our lane. As they got half way over, i saw the right front tire explode. I started hitting the brakes to give him plenty of room as he headed to the shoulder and slowed down. He handled it very well for an old fart, ie. anybody older than me. :>) Don't know if it did damage to his rig, but it sure was loud when it blew, and there was rubber all over the place.

I had a blowout on my 1965 Unimog on the rear (tube tires). That was exciting...but being old NATO surplus, I can't expect them to hold together at 62MPH :-)

The TDH-4512 has two goodyear fronts and 4 Toyo rears in great shape. Plus new valve stems. I don't like issues with tires.
