Installing a 12.7 in a Scenicruisr. I'd like to soften the vibration and keep the thing in one place at the same time. Looked into airbags, solid rubber, but would like the wisdom of experience so as not to do it more than once. What's other folks using?
Thanks
Larry

Airbags are too soft for propulsion engine torque. They work well for gensets, though.

Why don't you use the mounts that Eagle, MCI or Prevost use so you don't have to reinvent the wheel?

I'm sure the last one in particular has spent a lot of time & $$ to find the best mount since they sell conversion shells for million $$ conversions.

Hi Larry,
I'm putting a 12.7 in a mci-8. I choose to use the front mount under the crankshaft pulley out of the Truck. It is rubber and mounts through the two holes in the bracket. For the rear I just used the brackets attached to the allison 740ht. I bought new rubber mounts from IBP but are direct replacments for the ht-740.

Thanks for the suggestions fellows. More are welcome.
As far as straight and level, forget that. In order to fit the 60 and Allison 4060 in and get the drive shaft angles equal and dodge the suspension at the bulkhead we're tilted up 3 degrees, offset 1 1'2" and cocked 3 degrees. Anyone with know how on that subject is welcome to comment. I used the Dana Torsional Anal. page to plug numbers in to see if it'd shake us up. this combo seems to work, on paper.
