I'm wondering what peaole are spending monthly to full-time in a vintage bus. I'm most intersted in the 4106 and the DD 8V-71, but I would like hear from anyone full timing solo or on the cheep. You know the monthly bus expenses water, propane ansd stuff. Thanks | ||

I am living in my '74 Crown 10-wheeler ex-schoolie full time while the PLAN continues to convert her into that ultimate driver's motorhome. Pay $100 bucks monthly for a place to park her under the trees with power and water. Friends place. Have somewhat primitive "facilities" and a warm bed. Run her around about once a month. Fuel now $2.049 up here in SW Oregon. Slowly obtaining conversion stuff. Food about $300 a month... ....including too much red wine. My next biggest expense is insurance and tags. Progressive. All in all, monthly running costs are around $500 for myself. | ||

How about maintenance? I remember when we were living abourd on our boat we averaged 10% of the cost of the boat every year in maintenance costs.....one of the reasons we moved back on land. Are there any general figures for coach maintenance | ||
