It's been 8 months since I took the oil cooler off the old engine and I can't remember exactly how it sealed to the block. What I have is the standard single core cooler assembly that has a outlet that reaches up towards the hole in the block. It seems to seal with a fat rubber O-ring that is compressed by a cover with 4 bolts. I wondered if there should be anything else, like a gasket on the block face or some sort of flare attachment or anything? Any goo recommended? thanks, Brian |

Brian It is just a rubber "O" ring that seals it to the block. Clean things really well before you reassemble it. I usually put a very thin layer of "ultra grey" silicone just to seal any minor imperfections. If you use silicone don't over do it. Bill |
