Anyone have a part number, or suggestion for getting a tach on a 6v71? I have a 35ft 4517. I have the original alternator on the bus.

Stewart Warner has a diesel tach in there listings. Try stewartwarner.com for one. It runs of a sender unit that goes onto the tach fitting on the blower. I have used it for almost 20 years. Bill

isspro.com also has electronic tachs that you can put sensors on the flywheel.. they work great.

Grant-- I put a datcon in my am general with a 6v71

It works off the relay terminal on your alternator.

Gauge is plastic but seems to be accurate after setting the switches on the back by following the instructions.
