Hey busnuts!

Just a quick shoutout...looking for a spacer ring for either a VS2-8 or a V730. Anyone have a spare/one their willing to part with?

Could also be interested in a 5.25" bellhousing spacer for the detriot 6/8 cylinder variant.

Contact me here or off list.

Thank you,

Brandon

Hey Dal,

I went and re-read your comment. The issue is purely a 'depth of bellhousing' issue. I have photos to demonstrate on the camera.

The bellhousing on my 6-71 is much shallower than a 6v71/8v71, thus I need a thicker spacer to make up for the difference.

I was advised that 6-71's could come with deeper bellhousings, so that may have been the bolt-up that you saw. I'd still like to find another spacer OR eventually build/find a single 5.25" spacer.

Thanks for following up!

might be easier and cheaper to change the housing on the end of the engine.

OK, I saved the engine housing that the V-730 bolted up to. surface to surface(machined)-6 5/8 inches. Depth of housing recess where trans bolts to is 4 3/8. This housing of from the Flxible with 6V-71.

Hey Mel,

Your email address' don't seem to work?

I will try giving you a buzz tomorrow. Need to see if you have a v730 spacer or a VS2-8 :-) Thanks!
