I have a 1979 4108A and I'm trying to find the amplifier for the speakers in the ceiling.
Anyone know where I should look?
I can see the speaker wires going along side the bus behind the driver's seat but I can't see where they are going. At least not without tearing up my sub floor and taking down the walls! Anyone know where they put that monster? I can only find it the Wiring Diagram Book and not in any other book. I would have thought it would have been in the compartment next to the driver or under the dash somewhere.
Thanks

MrBill:

Are you talking about the amp for the stock OEM PA system speakers??

If so, and the original driver's compartment is still intact, it is that little box the mike plugs into down low on your right, next to the parking brake knob, aft of the gearshift (if a stick). It's either green or black, depending on the vendor. The mike uses a canon-type 5 or 6-pin plug, sometimes on the top of the box, more commonly on the bottom. There's also a volume knob. Not a big monster at all, maybe 2" square x 6" high

At least that's where my (fading) memory tells me it was in the buffalos.
