Steve, Chill out buddy. You might want to get to know the man as I have. Jack and Dallas spent a whole day of their own time with me and my wife and 3 cats on the phone as we were stuck with locked up brakes in a parking lot in Roseville California with no Toad. They both ran me through the various drills of what to check on our MC5C and got us going again in the heat of the Summer no charge just good advice and kindness from the both of them. And a lot of great bus knowledge! As he would tell you he is a small case just crammed full of all kinds of knowledge and he has to get it out especially when it helps people! It is like Jack told me once, Dave he said, ( that's what he calls me) Dave he said, it is not so much as asking questions on the board, but making a few good friends on it each time you go and then you know who you can call if you get in trouble with your Bus.;-) FWIW, Chromie | ||

I find that there are many people that I don't understand as well as I hope to someday, to remove a person that I hope to someday understand would deny me the opportunity to learn from them, even the few I sometimes dislike offer me a chance to see things from a different angle or a side that is different from what my comfort zone allows, I find the ones from the left as interesting as the ones from the right as well as the ones that prefer the center, I wish and hope that some day I'll have as much to offer, life is a learning experience. | ||

I've been asked to leave the boards many many times by my ole rust bucket buddy but the more he pleaded, the longer I stuck around and the worse he looked! I don't particulary care for fids post or his try at humor either so I just skip over them as I do FF's. Trying to be humerous occasionaly is ok but if you have to attempt it in EVERY post means your only bored and looking for attention! If people keep giving him attention, he will continue posting useless postings! Ignore his postings and quit giving him attention and he will do one of two things. One, just leave, or two, make a bigger fool of himself and be so embarrassed that he can only become a lurker! History has proven this on many occasions and on this very board! Thanks I@n Ace | ||

Ace, I do like Jack's humor. One thing I don't think will ever happen is that he will leave if we ignore him. The other is that he will be so embarrassed that he will become a lurker. I don't know if he has it in his personality to be embarrassed. With that said, anyone who doesn't like him can ignore his posts. It takes all kinds to make this board go round, and like it or not, Jack is one of them. This topic becomes a regular every couple of months and it always ends the same. Nothing comes of it until the next barrage of posts upsets somebody. I hope everyone that has a problem with him can get by it and continue to post and help each other the way the board is intended. this board is no different than any other group,there will all ways be some thing said that not every one may agree with, it seems that the politically correct cause more greif and touble than those that say it anay way they chose. some things that are said on this board i do not agree with but then not every on agrees with me, i do agree with the know how that, FF, Ace, JACK, and all the people that use this board have and are ready to pass it on. some answears are right some are wrong, sort out what you like and go with it. out at my shop the fist fights take place behind the shop and when it is over we throw the winner over the bank into the black berry wines. as we all know do it your way. | ||

The observation that, "if you have to attempt it (humor) in EVERY post means your only bored and looking for attention" would look equally narrow minded if it were stated as a basis for seriousness. We are all UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS, not required by conscience or law to conform to the expectations or behavior of others. The use of the term "ALWAYS trying to be humerous" (humorous) is an exaggeration if not an outright lie, anyone can find a LOT of my efforts which contain nary a pun let alone a smile. And I would rather be accused of failing to make a person laugh than to be rightfully assailed for being intolerant of the mere words of another human, let alone their presence in a public forum. Anyone who does not understand why I am here & what I posit here could likely benefit from the adage... "If your mind is not open to change or variety then why have one?" Rigidity and the conforming to it are certainly indicators of insecurity & fear and the willingness to allow them to influence your life drastically narrows your potential for happiness. I cannot understand how people who seek freedom thru owning a converted coach & the wonderful life it affords a person, can also be so narrow minded as to DEMAND that anyone conform to their preconceived & narrow notions. They remind me of the guy who HATES people who own motorcycles, assuming that they do so just because they want to be noticed as tough guys who have no respect for the law. Having expectations of everyone or ANYONE is an individual fantasy that has NO BASIS in the real world in which we live... the sooner one realizes that fact of life the sooner they will find happiness & less stress in their life. God did not grant me a life on Earth to please everyone else, only to learn, love & gain experience so that I have more value to HIM when I return than when I arrived.... and I am far more concerned about HIS estimation of me than I am of anyone else's. It's in Da' BOOK in case you don't own one or won't read one. BTW... Jack has his moments but overall is great. I just skip over the ones I don't understand after one reading!! I suspect those are the ones when he is off his meds!!! There are far too many members with no sense of humor and who take themselves much too seriously. We only go around once guys so lighten up. | ||

...spanky, just start with the left hand side of every comment, ~if you see the picture of those you don't wish to read from; =just "scroll on bye" without looking at what was written; perhaps with time you and the "offender" will deal with what ever and become less sensitive to words of type; +I know of at least one bus nuts that has found peace with my comments using this simple self scrutinizing censorship method (he serves the coveted MC 6, which I mention just a proof that "scroll on bye" works well | ||

WOW I have been DEEP into the belly of my beastie for the the past few months sunrise to sundown 7 days a week, got lots done haven't had time to visit here but I am glad I didn't miss this. I HATE white bread it is boring narrow minded and lacks any imagination not to mention most white bread usually hates every other type of bread that isn't exactly as plain boring and downright stupid as itself. |
