Chessie, I use hard start kits on a lot of stuff around here and they save a lot of compressor failures especially when the power blitz,s or most of older units. Available at all A/c wholesalers,servicemen,retailers.

Thanks Chessie and Gomer.... I'm having an issue with my roof wart and this may be the fix for it. It's not low on gas and I did replace all the capacitors with those from a unit that worked great until a branch took it out as a camper was leaving a campground.

Now I have a question:

What is the difference between a hard start capacitor and a soft start capacitor?
